Distinguished Industry Leader on Internet Security and Privacy, Governance, Risk and Compliance to Bring Four Decades of Experience to SAVANTURE Executive Leadership Team

Reston, VA, October 3, 2013 –  SAVANTURE, the industry’s premier security services provider, today announced that Dennis Devlin will join SAVANTURE as CISO, CPO, and Senior VP of Privacy Practice.  Devlin will also join SAVANTURE’s Board of Directors. Devlin, with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in the pharmaceutical industry, information publishing and Internet services, and higher education most recently led the security and compliance program at the George Washington University.  Prior to GW Devlin established and led the security programs at Brandeis University and Thomson (Thomson-Reuters), and served as a member of the IT leadership teams at Harvard University and American Hoechst (Aventis).

Now Devlin joins SAVANTURE to lend his energy, experience and expertise to help guide the company to expand its global presence serving current and future customers, and provide information security and privacy thought leadership.

About Dennis Devlin

Dennis Devlin is a well-known and highly respected information assurance and risk management senior executive with over four decades of experience as a practitioner and leader in both private industry and higher education. During his career Dennis has strategized and led multiple enterprise-class initiatives in  information assurance, risk management, digital privacy, identity management, wide area networking, electronic messaging, disaster recovery and business continuity, emergency notification, and data center, server and network operations.  Dennis is also a Distinguished Fellow of the Ponemon Institute and a member of the faculty at IANS.

Before joining the SAVANTURE team Dennis served as AVP of Information Security and Compliance Services at the George Washington University, where he oversaw information security and privacy, information risk management, compliance and security operations for the university. Prior to GW Dennis served as Chief Information Security Officer for Brandeis University, Vice President and Chief Security Officer for The Thomson Corporation (now Thomson-Reuters), a member of the senior IT leadership team at Harvard University, and began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at American Hoechst Corporation (now Aventis).

Dennis is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has completed extensive continuing clash royale hack apk download executive education in IT management. He has lectured at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, Babson College Center for Information Management Studies, University of Massachusetts Strategic Information Technology Center, Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology at Arizona State University and Boston University Metropolitan College. Dennis has served on CSO advisory boards for RSA Security, Qualys, Verdasys, GeoTrust, ChosenSecurity, LogMatrix and the CSO Editorial Advisory Board for SC Magazine. He is also a former adjunct faculty member in the Information Assurance program at the Rabb School of Continuing Professional Studies at Brandeis University
